For the most part...I hate doctors. However, that being said, they seems to have become a necessary evil in my early later years.

I have had a blockage of one of my saliva gland for over a week. This causes the saliva to back up in the spit glands (UCK) and produces a large knot in your neck..making it hard to swallow. The cure for this is anti-biotics and sucking on lot of lemons. Usually works...had this before.

Things being the way they are...not this time. Leaving on Saturday for week vacation and cannot eat or drink without discomfort.

I went back yesterday...cause the stuff is not working....to see if I had another path. Checked in and had to do the usual weigh in......

Me...I have lost 7 lbs since last Thursday

Nurse....Did you have your shoes on when you weighed last week????

Me....Pardon me !!!!! Even if I did(which I did not)they do not weigh 7 lbs.

Nurse...Thought that might explain the weight loss.

NURSE....well I am sure that MIGHT have contributed to the weight loss.

The doctor told me I needed to see an ENT doctor and that I would just have to pay out of pocket since the ones locally does not take my insurance (retired military).

Told him I did not have pockets..the IRS had taken them and most of my pants......

Guess I will drive the 50 miles to a military base when I get back....
